New Direction?

I've always wanted to create my own Shared World Universe and now I'm happy to say I'm on my way. I just completed the first short story and I'm hard at work on the second. I won't give away too many of the details let's just say it combines my love of history with PNR. I have another novel completed and a short story out. Both of them are in a contemporary setting but I can shoehorn them into the new Shared World, which I'm tentatively calling The History of Blood, very easily.

Then there's My Frankenstein, and its sequels (yes there will be sequels, I promise), and I'd love to fir these into the new world. But I came up with this idea way before History of Blood. I could say this tale is what inspired Mary Shelley, except that I moved the dates up by a decade from 1819 to 1830. That may not be such a big deal. Hammer moved the time period up to the Victorian era and Universal's films apparently take place in the early 20th Century. So maybe My Frankenstein will fit nicely.

In any event I'll keep you posted with details about the stories as they are either (hopefully) published or when I'll be releasing them in eBook form.

And I'm finally on Smashwords! Yay!

Here's the link.

I bit the bullet and paid for the formatting. Wasn't much, just $25. And it did get me to the Premium Catalog with almost no hitches. I submitted it and then waited and waited. After 11 days I gently nudged Smashwords and low and behold I was approved the next.

Squeaky wheel huh?
